The City Of... Food Trucks

Portland, Oregon was an adventure. Lets just start off by saying that the city life is very different than what I am used to. The day after Aaron and I arrived in Portland, we decided to try something new and take the bus into the city to explore. Getting there was fine but coming back was a whole different story. I'll get to that later.

When we got into the city, first thing on our list was to visit the famous VOODOO DOUGHNUT! The line wrapped all the way around the corner of the shop, but let me tell you, it was worth the wait! Then we walked our way around the city going into little boutiques, chocolate shops and coffee shops until we worked up a bit of an appetite. Then it was time for us to check out all of their famous food trucks. There were so many different types of foods offered, I just couldn't decide. I walked up, down, and around many times before I was finally able to choose one.

On our way back to the bus stop we got lost for about 45 minutes, mixed up in all the streets not knowing exactly where we were or needed to be. Once we finally found it, got on board, and took off, we realized that we were headed the opposite direction of where we needed to go! Once the bus turned around, it had to stop to cool down which took another 20 minutes! It was a very long day for us, but we eventually got home!

We enjoyed many other days visiting the Japanese Garden and my favorite MULTNOMAH FALLS! Which we got lost heading to as well, but lucked out by finding a couple of other water falls along the way! I had never seen such a large and beautiful waterfall before! We had a very pretty hike up to the top of the Multnomah Falls where we were able to walk across the stream that pours over the waterfall. It was amazing.
